Ariel (Mermaid): Female Teenager needed because of the love interest.
small  body frame

mezzo or soprano with a good mix. Must sing extremely well

ACT -MOVE extremely well.
Headstrong,  Must also be very engaging and sympathetic. Demanding role. 

Eric (Human): Male.
(lyric tenor or high baritone) Strong Actor
Must move well .Prince- A truly kind and enthusiastic leader. All Mermaid sisters wish to marry him. lots of charm, swagger and confidence. great style/energy.

Flounder (Fish): Male or Female -lead
Must move well
Best friend of Ariel, hopelessly adored with her. Extremely loyal and energetic. Good comic timing. Has a good musical number and lots of acting scenes. 

Scuttle (Seagull): Male/Female. Age Open- lead
Very Comedic over the Top Actor -singer
Must move well, including some possible  soft shoe dancing.
Clueless authority on humans. Ends up being a devoted friend to Ariel. Funny

Sebastian (Crab): Male or Female - Lead (any ethnicity)
Singer/Actor with a Strong Comedic Jamaican Accent, must  move extremely well. Ultimate showperson, Must carry two huge  production numbers an scenes 

King Triton (Merman): Male. Lead
King of the Seas - father to 7 daughters. Widower. Powerful Actor, yet can be very tender towards his girls. Has a temper when pushed. Strong looking. 

 FLOTSAM (Eel) AND JETSAM: male or females any Ages Supporting Leads
Must move extremely well to dance eel-like movement. Fun role to play-Songs, Lines and dances with Ursula.
Evil Fun and extremely devoted partners to Ursula. Great energy and personality

Ursula (Octopoid Mermaid): female- Lead  

Big personality -Major diva belter Singer. Relishes her villainy as she seeks revenge on King Triton and plans to steal his power. Manipulative and  funny 

• Grimbsy Male. Sings a bit, but may speak/sing. Eric’s father figure /counselor. Desperate to help Eric reach his destiny of marriage, Well spoken, carries  himself with dignity. Comedic timing a plus. Strong commanding Speaking voice

CHEF LOUIS: Male or Female (13-22) possible french accent.

Chef to the Prince in the Castle. Famous for trying to cook and cut Sebastian up in a pot. Comedy/Singer!
